Robin Darmon, Director, MBA Career Connections
Robin Darmon joined the Rady School of Management in April 2005 as Director of MBA Career Connections. She is responsible for assisting MBA professionals in their career-building strategies, and their transitions into leadership roles. She also manages and develops employer accounts to facilitate their campus recruiting activities and strengthen their connections to Rady students.
Robin devoted more than 20 years of her career to educational positions in various universities in Paris, France. Prior to working for UC San Diego, Robin was the corporate coordinator for the HEC School of Management's MBA program in Paris, and had the opportunity to work with business partners around the world while in that role. Before working for the HEC, she was the Assistant Dean at the Ecole de Gestion Supérieure, developing an international Bachelor of Business Administration program with 40 nationalities represented in the student body, four exchange programs with U.S. schools, as well as American accreditation. Robin has a B.A. in Education and an MBA in Marketing Management.
Stephanie Boomhower joined the Rady School of Management in April 2006 as the Career Development Adviser. She coaches MBA students, both one-on-one and in small groups, on how to navigate through the internship and career-search process — from developing a focused career to negotiating salaries. In addition to coaching, she organizes a Careers deep-dive during orientation, Rady @ Work group sessions, alumni mock interviews and various other career-search programs to help MBAs explore the marketplace. She is the point person for all international MBAs as they navigate the hiring process with employers.
Prior to her position at Rady, Stephanie was the Associate Director of Career Services at the University of San Diego School of Law, where she advised students and coordinated on-campus interview programs. Stephanie and her husband started their own business in 2002 working with churches and nonprofits in the areas of construction and facilities management. Prior to moving to San Diego, she completed an M.S. in College Student Personnel and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Architecture from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Stephanie spent the majority of her childhood living in Asia and various cities throughout the U.S.
