About the Program

Challenges in the current business environment have resulted in many organizations managing the downturn without consideration of the upturn. Instructor

Dr. Ron Rembisz has worked for the past 25 years as a full-time consultant to corporate management. His primary professional focus has been on organizational, team and leadership effectiveness. Ron has had a varied career with time spent in management as executive director of a large not-for-profit organization, the Behavioral Sciences Institute (BSI), in Carmel, California; as senior consultant with a U.S.-based consulting firm, RHR International; as Principal of Rembisz & Associates; and as co-founder of Performance Systems International (PSi, Limited).

He has worked with large global, Fortune 100 companies, as well as with many entrepreneurial and startup organizations in a variety of industries. Dr. Rembisz attended undergraduate school at Seton Hall University, graduating with a bachelor’s of arts in psychology. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Texas Tech University in 1977. He is a licensed psychologist in California and Illinois. He has worked and traveled widely and lived in Spain for several years. He now lives in Coronado, California.

Leland Sandler is currently the executive director of organizational srategy for Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He has been with Amylin for over four years. He previously had his own pharma/medical device consulting business, The Sandler Group, LLC. The Sandler Group was an international consulting group focused on leadership, organizational and team execution and effectiveness, and strategic planning. Clients included Boston Scientific, Edwards Lifesciences, Agouron Pharmaceuticals (a division of Pfizer), Roche and Baxter Healthcare.

In Europe he has worked with Roche Pharmaceuticals, Groupe Danone and Alstom Transport. Leland attended the University of California, Berkeley, and has an M.B.A. from Pepperdine University (organizational effectiveness) and an M.A. in education technology (corporate learning) from San Francisco State University.
