U.S.-Israel Center on Innovation
and Economic Sustainability

The U.S.-Israel Center on Innovation and Economic Sustainability at UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management was launched in October 2012 with the mission to engage the academic and technology communities of Israel and San Diego in scholarship, education, and the generation of new industry and market opportunities.

The Center aims to:

  • Foster collaboration between Israel and the United States that stimulates creativity, innovation, and translation to market opportunity.
  • Support interdisciplinary, collaborative scholarship on business and technological innovation as an engine for economic development.
  • Promote broad, well-informed discourse about Israel across the UC San Diego campus, partner campuses, and the San Diego community.
  • Be the renowned center of understanding on Israel as a world center for technology innovation, business strategy, and academic-industry relationships.

The Center will implement programming to facilitate engagement and create awareness around these issues, including an innovation immersion program for U.S. and Israeli graduate students, sponsorship of visiting scholars, community education programming and research support.

The Rady School is seeking partners who are committed to enhancing the U.S.-Israel relationship and passionate about building the Center with us.  Private support and an eventual endowment are critical to building a robust and sustainable program.
