Luc is a senior at Thurgood Marshall College. He will be graduating in June of 2009 with a Management Science degree.

Why did you choose to take classes at the Rady School?

I chose to take classes at Rady School of Management because of the opportunity to focus my studies on management science. I took the opportunity to supplement my liberal arts education from UCSD and Thurgood Marshall College with the more technical and business components I acquired at Rady. This education has prepared me for working in the field of finance after graduation.

What would you like to tell other students about the Rady School’s Undergraduate Program?

If you want to take classes that actively prepare you for the job market, take Rady Classes. They emphasize teamwork, active participation, and leadership, skills that will be invaluable to you in the workplace.

Which class has been your favorite? Any favorite instructors? Why?

My favorite class was Supply Chain and Operations Management, taught by Terrence August. Professor August keeps the class engaging and fun, while the material itself is interesting and applicable. The course also utilizes an online simulation, which helps students refine the concepts learned throughout the course.
